Alexander JANUSHEVSKIS

Born at Sigulda, Latvia. Graduated from the Riga Polytechnical Institute in 1974 as a mechanical engineer. From 1974, works in the Riga Technical University as an engineer, research associate, leading researcher, lecturer, professor and from 1991 till now is a head of Scientific Lab for Machine and Mechanism Dynamics. From 1981 till 1983 postgraduate studies in the Riga Polytechnical Institute. Theme of defended dissertation of the candidate of technical sciences - "Automation of Dynamic Calculations for Designing of Multibody Systems". Since 1992, a Doctor of Engineering Sciences of the Republic of Latvia and from 1994 an active member of the New York Academy of Sciences. From 1995, a member of Latvian National Mechanics Committee and from 2014 - member of the board of LNMC. From 1999, a member of the Promotional Council of RTU on Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering Sciences. From 2000, vice-president of Engineer Capital Foundation of Latvia. Main scientific interests relate with the field of computer-aided engineering. Supervisor and member of many  industrial research projects, including automotive industry, as well as projects in educational field, for example, scientific supervisor from RTU side for the project EPICES "European Platform for Innovation and Collaboration between Engineer Students" 2014-2017. Author of more than 230 scientific publications.
