Method for control of operation condition of wind turbine and device for its realization

 The present proposal pertains to the field of wind power engineering, particularly – to the wind equipment intended for transformation of airflow kinetic energy into the mechanical motion of working head (e.g., into the rotation of outgoing shaft).

New method for energy extraction from air flow is developed. Method is realized in the device which consists of central rotor and several plane blades. Besides, blades are fastened to the rotor with the ability to change the orientation of their working surfaces relative to the direction of incoming wind flow. Each blade is fastened to the rotor with a cylindrical axial hinge, which longitudinal axis is parallel to the rotor’s longitudinal axis. Axles of blades have kinematic connection with the central rotor; therefore, blades rotate as the central rotor rotates about its axis. Optimal angular rotation frequency ratio between rotor and any blade is equal to 2.

Dependent on customer needs (necessary power of installation, its overall dimensions, etc.), new installation would be designed or existing installation – modernized. The main advantage of the proposed method lies in sufficient increasing of efficiency in wind energy transformation.

The method for the control of operation condition of wind turbine and the device for its realization are protected by LR Patent No 15038 (2015).
